Provisional Art Space is an international association of curators and artists who create opportunities for spatial transference through artistic affiliations, environmental action and strategic productions. As an association, [PAS] uses territorial entanglement and emerging technology as vehicles for migratory art practices. Working in the United States, Asia and Europe, [PAS] offers an innovative model for contemporary art production that goes beyond the established art market and towards a more egalitarian embrace of viewers and audiences.
The organization, founded and co-directed by Ron Hutt and Anna Novakov, is a network of curators and artists focused on creating opportunities for contemporary art in provisional urban and natural spaces. The completed projects utilize variable time durations and can last for a few hours, a day, weeks or years.
